This Privacy Policy explains how JP IA Solutions, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Talo Chat. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Name, email address, date of birth.
- Profile photo (optional).
- Authentication data managed by Auth0.
1.2 Persona Information
- Name, relationship, personality description, and photos you provide to create a Persona.
1.3 Conversation Data
- Messages you send to and receive from AI-generated Personas.
- Message metadata (timestamps, message type, credits used).
1.4 Payment Information
- Subscription and billing information processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
1.5 Usage Data
- Device type, browser, IP address, and usage patterns collected automatically.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Generate AI responses personalized to your Persona.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, account alerts).
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing and Third-Party AI Providers
Important: To generate AI responses and images, your conversation data is processed by third-party AI providers:
- OpenAI — processes conversation messages to generate text responses. Your data is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Google (Gemini) — processes prompts and images to generate AI images. Your data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your data to AI providers for training purposes. However, you should be aware that data sent to these providers is governed by their respective privacy policies.
We strongly recommend that you do not share sensitive personal information (e.g., financial data, passwords, medical details) in conversations with Personas.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure.
- Message embeddings (numerical representations of text) are stored to improve context-aware responses.
- Profile images and AI-generated images are stored in Google Cloud Storage.
- We implement industry-standard security measures, but no system is completely secure.
5. Data Retention
- Account and conversation data is retained while your account is active.
- You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@talo-chat.com.
- Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes even after deletion.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With third-party service providers necessary to operate the Service (Auth0, OpenAI, Google, Stripe, Sentry, Google Cloud).
- When required by law or legal process.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Talo Chat, our users, or the public.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Data portability.

16. Voice Data and Audio Processing
Talo Chat offers an optional voice cloning feature that requires processing of voice recordings. This section explains how we handle voice data.
16.1 Voice Data We Collect
- Voice reference audio: A short audio recording (5-15 seconds) provided by you to create a voice clone
- Voice ID: A unique identifier returned by our voice processing provider (Inworld AI) that represents your cloned voice
16.2 How We Process Voice Data
- Voice reference audio is stored in Google Cloud Storage (GCS) for the duration needed to create and maintain the voice clone
- The audio is sent to Inworld AI for voice cloning processing
- The Voice ID is stored in our database and associated with the Persona
- Generated audio responses (TTS) are temporarily stored in GCS and served via signed URLs
16.3 Voice Data Retention
- Voice reference audio: Retained as long as the associated Persona exists, or until you delete the voice data
- Voice ID: Retained as long as the associated Persona exists
- Generated audio responses: Automatically deleted after 7 days
16.4 Voice Data Deletion
When you delete a Persona or your account:
- The Voice ID is permanently deleted from our database
- The voice reference audio is scheduled for deletion from GCS
- Generated audio files associated with the Persona are scheduled for deletion
- Note: Deletion from Inworld AI's systems follows their own data retention policies
16.5 Third-Party Voice Processing
We use Inworld AI for voice cloning and text-to-speech services:
- Voice reference audio is transmitted to Inworld AI's secure servers
- Inworld AI processes the audio to create a voice model
- Voice processing is subject to Inworld AI's privacy and security practices
- We recommend reviewing Inworld AI's privacy policy for complete information
16.6 Voice Data Security
- Voice data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Access to voice data is restricted to authorized personnel only
- Voice reference audio is stored in private GCS buckets with access controls
- Signed URLs for generated audio expire after 15 minutes
16.7 Your Rights Regarding Voice Data
You have the right to:
- Delete your voice data at any time by deleting the associated Persona
- Request deletion of your voice reference audio
- Opt out of voice cloning features entirely
